Ok Mega and all you other Iced Earth fans, help a sista out. I'm gonna go download some stuff from the Apple Music store later tonight and I want to get some Iced Earth. So, what would you say your top 5 (or so) songs from the band are? Doesn't matter which albums, just your favorites period.
Thanks for the help!

Only 5?
Sheesh - this is going to be hard!
I need to think on what would give you the best sampling of the group
You need to listen to "I Died for You" and "The Hunter" that is off Dark Saga
Also "Wolf" and "Phantom of the Opera" Off Horror Show
And then listen to "Valley Forge" off of their latest Glorious Burden Album.
Those will give you the range of the group, and the last one will have Tim Owens their new lead once Barlow left the group.
There are far more that are top knotch to listen to like "Watching Over Me", and the trilogy of songs that make up Something Wicked (Prophecy,Birth of the Wicked, The Coming Curse) of the album Something Wicked This Way Comes There is also the trilogy of songs from Dark Saga that are excellent (Scarred, Slave to the Dark, and A Question of Heaven).
Ack - that is well over 5, but the top ones I listed will definately get you the gyst of the group

I got "Wolf", "Phantom", "I Died for You" and "The Hunter" as you suggested. They didn't have the newest CD yet, nor did they have any of the trilogy songs you mentioned. So instead I also picked up "Last December", "Damien", and "Angels Holocaust". Have to say I like what I've gotten so far, and I definitely think I'll be getting more down the line. Thanks for the suggestions!

Angel's Holocaust is a good one. It is a shame they didn't have any from the new album - the new lead singer is good.
